Acoustic & Hearing Safety Notice

Important

Protect your ears and audio hardware: Continuous high-volume exposure to pure sine tones can cause permanent hearing damage or blow out speaker voice coils. Human ears have reduced sensitivity below 20 Hz and above 10,000 Hz.

💡 Rule of thumb: Calibrate your device volume using a 1,000 Hz tone at a soft, comfortable level. Do not raise the volume if inaudible at extreme frequencies.

Speaker & Subwoofer Test

Verify channel wiring, locate subwoofer frequency limits, test acoustic phase polarity, and eliminate cabinet rattles.

01

Left / Right Channel Separation

Verify stereo speaker wiring and channel orientation.

Click below to test individual channels. If clicking "Left Speaker" plays sound from your right speaker, your audio cables or speaker terminals are swapped.

02

Subwoofer Extension Ladder

Determine your subwoofer's low-end physical cutoff.

High-end subwoofers reach 20 Hz. Budget subwoofers roll off around 35-45 Hz. Bookshelf speakers usually stop at 50-60 Hz.

03

Speaker Phase & Polarity Diagnostic

Check if speaker wires are reversed (+ and - inverted).

When speakers are In-Phase (+ wired to +, - wired to -), both speaker cones move forward together. The sound feels tight, centered directly between your ears, and low-end bass is strong.

When Out-of-Phase (180°), one cone moves forward while the other moves backward. Sound waves cancel each other out in the middle of the room, creating a hollow, diffuse sound with almost zero bass.
